Custom Homes Make a Big Comeback  at Lyons Ridge in Cary
Verseman Community created over 10 years ago begins New Phase

Sales are underway at Lyons Ridge, where Verseman Development

Ten years later, Verseman Development Company has returned to the scene of one of its greatest success stories and launched a whole new chapter at Lyons Ridge, a community of upscale custom homes in Cary.

Verseman Development first created Lyons Ridge in 1992 and, by 1995, had built homes on all 40 of its lots. Now, over a decade later, Verseman has acquired the land just east of those 40 homes and is primed to add 28 new one-of-a-kind residences to the expanded Lyons Ridge neighborhood.

“We took advantage of a golden opportunity to purchase the farmland property directly adjacent to our completed Lyons Ridge neighborhood—an opportunity that doesn’t happen very often in our business and especially in landlocked Cary,” said Jeff Holz, co-owner of Verseman Development Company. “Instead of naming it something different, it made perfect sense to call this new phase of homesites ‘Lyons Ridge’ and integrate it into the finished neighborhood to the west.”

Lyons Ridge’ newest phase features half-acre-sized homesites, city sewer and water service, an attractive land plan boasting scenic cul-de-sacs, sidewalks, a tot lot, and extensive neighborhood landscaping.

“Visitors will be impressed by this site,” said Holz, who added that three lots have already been reserved and first deliveries are expected in early 2006. “It’s a handsome property with plenty of trees, yet a tranquil, tucked away location that homeowners looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle will appreciate.”

Lyons Ridge will feature completely distinctive residences starting from the upper $500,000s. A completely custom builder, Verseman creates an original home design from scratch and can build to suit any preferred home style or outside plan. Lyons Ridge homes will include all the luxury appointments and extras Verseman Development is known for—such as spacious three-car garages, granite countertops, Jacuzzi whirlpool tubs, Pella windows, and generous landscape packages.

“These 28 new homesites represent some of the last chances for buyers to build a custom home in Cary, where very little vacant land remains,” said Holz, who mentioned that buyers can now take advantage of a $20,000 grand opening special (visit the sales office for details).

Additionally, parents can “rest assured that their children will attend quality schools,” Holz said. “Lyons Ridge is set within Cary’s top-rated school district, which includes Cary-Grove High School.”

Residents can also enjoy a bounty of Cary amenities, including tree-lined streets and plentiful parks, six shopping centers, easy accessibility to Crystal Lake shopping and Algonquin Commons mall, a Metra station that whisks commuters downtown in about one hour and an emerging downtown area on Main Street.

Lyons Ridge is one of six custom home communities Verseman has created in Cary—a village that’s home to more than 300 Verseman residences constructed over the last 15 years.

“We’ve built our reputation for quality and craftsmanship in and around Cary over the last two decades, so it’s exciting to have the ability to revisit a popular neighborhood in this village and grow the community even further,” Holz said.

Lyons Ridge is located on Three Oaks Road in Cary. Sales for Lyons Ridge are being conducted at Harvest Glen, Verseman Development’s other current community in Cary. Take Route 14 (Northwest Highway) to Three Oaks Road, go east three miles to Hickory Nut Grove Road, then north one block to the Harvest Glen entrance.
